TIA, female, 191100000915263, 01.01.2017., in the shelter since 05/2025. Tia belonged to a homeless man. He adopted her as a puppy when he still had housing and a job. Then, two years ago, everything fell apart, and he ended up on the street. He slept wherever he could, even for a while at our shelter, but wherever he went, he never stayed long. Along with Tia, he also had another dog who passed away this year from old age. After that, her owner completely broke down — he was seen dragging the dead dog on a leash through the street and yelling at Tia. The police and doctors intervened, and he was taken to the hospital, leaving Tia alone on the street. We took her in for temporary care, and she is now with Aleksandra. Her owner officially gave her up. Tia is a beautiful little dog who constantly seeks human closeness. She lives in an apartment with Aleksandra’s mother and a blind dog named Benedikt. She sleeps in bed and loves walks, during which she is very obedient. However, she does have a hunting instinct, as we assume that through years of a hard and poor life, she learned to hunt to survive. Tia has only one problem — she doesn’t like being left alone, and when she is, she occasionally howls. She would be ideal for older people who are at home most of the time.
