At the moment our shelter is home for more than 200 adult dogs warious age (from 1 to 13 years of age). All of them have their own sad story. Abandoned, abused, starved, and thrown out of the car while family was driving for vacation but they all still have hope in their eyes.  Adriana is a Dachshund and terrier mix. Her owners obviously decided to discard her after she "broke down". Adriana was found in terrible shape on a field in a middle of nowhere. It is obvious that she couldn't get there on her own. She was probably left there when her owners realized that her hernia had grown to the size of a football. She could barely walk because she was twice overweight. She was lucky to be found and her hernia was surgically removed the following day. Three days after surgery Adriana was not showing great interest in life. However, because of our love and attention she became lively again. Now she is a happy being who had to learn to walk again, listen to sounds around her and socialize with other dogs. She even runs in the yard despite her short legs and big weight. Because of her relatively flat teeth (it seems like she was eating bones all life) it is hard to determine her age, but she is at least five years old. Is there someone who can give a peaceful and pleasant home to this bundle of joy for the rest of her life? Let's find a home for Adriana and show compassion and love to yet another abandoned being... |

 Ahil is a black and brown mixed-breed dog with white paws and white pearly teeth.
Ahil likes to sit on his house in his stall and catch early morning and late
afternoon's rays of sun, because those are the only periods when the sunshine
falls on his stall. For that reason we would be very happy if he could get a
new home where he could find his place on the green grass, where he would have
space to run and go for walks. Ahil is 40 centimeters tall. He was born on 13
November 2006. His chip number is 201880. |
 Alma is a small, black girl. Her thick hair shows shades of dark-brown color in the sun. She has white paws. She is very friendly by nature, she likes to play, cuddle and lie in the warm sun. She is 46 centimeters tall. She was born on May 7, 2008. Her chip number is 228324. |

 Amadeus was found wondering around kinder garden for a few days. He was starved and exausted. Despite his sad fate Amadeus knows how to smile. He is always happy and will cheerfully wag his tail to say hello. We presume he was born in first part of 2008. His shoulder height is 56 cm.

 Anđa is a black girl with moderately long hair and white hind paws. She has floppy ears. She loves to lie in the sun in front of her house. She is good-tempered and gets along with other dogs and children. She was born on May 7, 2008. She is 44 centimeters tall. Her chip number is 225648. |
 Aresa is a happy mixed-breed dog with unusual colors – from dark gray on her back to
light brown and beige on her paws. Her snout is also colorful, and because of
it she always looks happy, and when she opens her mouth, she appears to be
smiling all the time. Aresa has a good temper, she likes people and other dogs.
She hopes for a new home, because her long legs need more space to walk and run
than the 8 square meters of her stall. Aresa was born on 13 January 2007. She
is 49 centimeters tall. Her chip number is 204225. |
 Arno has
spent quite some time in the shelter already. Because he is not very
attractive on the outside, very few visitors even look at him. But he
is such a dear and friendly dog, with the gentlest eyes in the world.
He simply likes everyone and never argues or gets mad. He is short
and has short hair, so he can also be adopted into an apartment,
regular walks provided. He doesn't ask for much and is not demanding.
He was born in July 2008. He is vaccinated, micro-chipped and
castrated. He is 41 centimeters tall. |

 Aska is husky mix, she was born in Novemeber 2007.
Aska is very inteligent. She needs big garden and lots of space to run.
She loves to run and has a lot of energy. Aska is learning very fast.
Her shoulder hight is 40 cm.

 Astra is
a pure-bred hunting dog with a pedigree. Her owner got sick and could
no longer look after Astra. And she is such a wonderful, calm, dear
and obedient dog. It is surprising how quickly she adapted to living
in the shelter. She likes to cuddle, she is in a good mood, and that
is why we hope she won't spend her old days behind shelter fence but
in a new home with new friends. Astra was born in 2002. She is
vaccinated and micro-chipped. |
 Bingo was
saved from euthanasia. His owner took him to the vet's office to have
him killed because he didn't want him anymore. Since our Animal
Welfare Law forbids putting a healthy dog to sleep, the veterinarians
asked us to give him a shelter. Bingo is an older dog who was born on
16 June 2006. We hope he won't stay in the shelter for long and that
someone will give him a chance to live out his older days in peace.
He is 48 centimeters tall. He is good with people, but he is not for
children because he is very lively. |

 Bozz was left in July 2009 in the shelter because his owner was going abroad to work (he was suppose to stay in the shelter only for a short while and he would come for him in September). September came and went and his owner never came for him. First month of his stay his owner’s friends would come and take Bozz for a walk but last few months nobody is coming any more and asking for him. We tried to contact his owner but he is not answering the phone. Bozz is crying every day and waiting for his owner to come for him. We can't see him suffering any longer and would love to find him new loving home. Bozz is very calm and good natured. Bozz is pit-bull terrier; he was born on the 28th of March 2007. His shoulder height is 59 cm.
